Leading security doors and screens installation company, Meesons, has developed and installed a unique integrated security solution for a leading City office
Designed for a well-known and prestigious building in the heart of London’s historic City area, the project required that the system was discreet and sympathetic to the surrounding architecture.
Meesons recommended an integrated system that was designed specifically to work with and complement the building’s existing access control. Located at the main entrance of the building, the anti-tailgating portal uses ultrasonic volumetric scanning to prevent ‘piggybacking’, ensuring that only one person passes through the gate at a time – a function critical for a company of this nature.
Meesons was selected as the supplier for this project for its expert use of shopfitting techniques, its ability to turn round and install systems quickly and efficiently – the installation was completed in one weekend – and for the broad range of colours and specialised finishes that it offers.

Leading security doors and screens installation company Meesons has created a solution for the Leading logistics company in Cambridge that is flexible enough to respond to its varying needs – from protecting its staff to creating an open, customer-focused environment.
The two key challenges for the solution were to create a range of security screens that were open and friendly for customers, yet could be responsive enough to protect staff when required.
Meesons has installed Svalson electrically operated glass screens that are counter-weighted for smooth operation and driven by integral DC motors. All the drive mechanism is kept within the frame, which makes them easy to install and ideal for refurbishments and new build projects alike. The frames can also be colour co-ordinated to fit in with any company’s corporate identity.
Meesons recommended a combination of fixed and moving screens, which give staff the freedom and control over their own security. The glass screens avoid the need for horizontal frames, which means even when the vertically sliding screens are fully down the reception area still presents an open, friendly image to customers.
There are operating features to ensure easy push-button operation by counter staff and protective features to maintain the safety and security of both customers and staff.
The clients bespoke solution is part of an ongoing framework agreement with the architectural consultant and contractors.

Leading security doors and screens installation company, Meesons, has devised and supplied a fully integrated security system for a pan-European data hosting company at their London premises.
Tasked with providing a solution that would seamlessly integrate and enhance the building’s existing access control, Meesons recommended the use of an anti-tailgating portal for one of the company’s data centres, one of seven of companies London sites.
Incorporating sophisticated human recognition technology, including Panasonic iris recognition, the anti-tailgating system uses ultrasonic volumetric scanning to ensure that only one person passes through the building’s entrance door at a time, while simultaneously fully identifying them using biometrics. With a single passage taking under 10 seconds for a trained user, entrants no longer have to queue. The particular solution was proposed as, due to the nature of its clients’ critical data, the Client needed to demonstrate how seriously it takes physical security and how it is a market leader in ensuring only authorized individuals can enter its buildings. Other requirements included the need to reduce costs while increasing efficiency, avoid over-dependence on manned guarding, maintain a 24-hour operation and provide reliable time and attendance information for employees and visitors as a safety measure.
